Reflecsia ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our voice journaling mobile application.

Information We Collect

Voice Recordings

When you create a journal entry, we record your voice. This recording is:

• Stored temporarily on your device
• Sent to OpenAI for transcription
• Deleted after transcription is complete — audio is not stored in the cloud

Transcriptions and Analysis

Your voice recordings are processed to extract:

• Text transcriptions of your speech
• Emotional sentiment and mood indicators
• Topics and themes mentioned
• Key points, goals, and potential action items
• Cognitive patterns (CBT-based analysis)
• Daily and weekly summaries

Account Information

When you create an account, we collect:

• Email address
• Authentication tokens (for secure login)

Crash and Error Data

We use Sentry for crash reporting and app stability monitoring. Sentry receives:

• Crash reports and stack traces
• Device type, OS version, and app version
• An anonymous user ID (not your email)

No journal content is ever sent to Sentry — sensitive fields are actively redacted before transmission.

Local Analytics

Basic usage events (e.g., "entry created", "summary viewed") are stored locally on your device only. They are never sent to any server. You can opt out and clear this data at any time in Settings.

How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Provide voice transcription services
• Generate insights and analysis from your journal entries
• Sync your data across devices
• Monitor app stability and fix crashes
• Send journaling reminder notifications (optional)

Third-Party Services

OpenAI

We use OpenAI's services for:

• Whisper API: Voice transcription
• GPT API: Text analysis, insights generation, and summaries

Your voice recordings and transcriptions are sent to OpenAI for processing. Please review OpenAI's Privacy Policy for their data practices.

Supabase

We use Supabase for:

• User authentication
• Cloud data storage and synchronization

Your journal entries, AI analysis results, and summaries are synced to Supabase, protected by Row-Level Security — you can only access your own data. Please review Supabase's Privacy Policy for their data practices.

Sentry

We use Sentry for crash reporting and error tracking. Only anonymous technical data is sent — never journal content. Please review Sentry's Privacy Policy for their data practices.

Data Storage and Security

Local Storage

Your journal entries are stored locally on your device using an encrypted SQLite database.

Cloud Storage

• Data is encrypted in transit using TLS
• Data is stored in secure Supabase infrastructure
• Row-Level Security ensures you can only access your own data

Authentication

• Passwords are never stored on our servers (handled by Supabase Auth)
• Authentication tokens are stored securely using platform-specific secure storage

Your Rights

Access Your Data

• View all your journal entries within the app
• Export your data in PDF, Markdown, or JSON format

Delete Your Data

• Delete individual entries from within the app
• Signing out clears all local data from your device
• Request complete account and cloud data deletion by contacting us

Control Your Data

• Opt out of local analytics in Settings
• Export all your data at any time

Data Retention

• Local data: Retained until you delete it or sign out
• Cloud data: Retained until you delete it or close your account
• Account data: Deleted within 30 days of account closure
• Crash reports: Retained by Sentry per their retention policy

What We Do NOT Do

• We do not sell your data to anyone
• We do not use advertising SDKs or tracking identifiers
• We do not send notifications containing personal content
• We do not retain audio recordings after transcription

Children's Privacy

Reflecsia is not intended for use by children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by:

• Posting the new Privacy Policy in the app
• Updating the "Last Updated" date
